One network, many communities

Across Aotearoa, regional disability sport organisations are creating opportunities for disabled people to be active, participate and connect in their communities.

Each organisation is independent, with its own local focus and community connections. Disability Sport Aotearoa New Zealand brings the network together so members can share knowledge and experience, strengthen the sector and work collectively towards better opportunities for disabled people.

What can your local organisation offer?

Every region is different, and the opportunities available vary between organisations.

Your local disability sport organisation may offer:

  • Sport and recreation opportunities

  • Opportunities for children and adults

  • Youth programmes

  • Fitness sessions

  • Adaptive equipment

  • Classification support

  • Funding and advice

  • Disability awareness in schools

  • Events and competitions
